First of all, take a deep breath because what you are going to read is what I know about breathing. When I say "What I know" that doesn't mean the things I googled on a random Tuesday. These are the things that I learned through my experiences
"Breathing"...!
Breathing is a way of survival. In certain situations, we need to make ourselves take a breath to survive
Confused?
Let me explain.
Are you familiar with panic attacks or anxiety attacks? Well, during one, that person needs to motivate himself to try and take a breath to survive.
What if he believes, at that moment, that his head is exploding and that his lungs had stopped working all of a sudden?
I used the term " believe" in the previous sentence because at that time the person will definitely be in a state of helplessness and will assume the worst.
But if he gets a ray of hope amidst all that and tries to control his breathing, he will come back to his original state within some time and then again the process of breathing becomes just a mode of survival.
He is no longer noticing his passive breaths.

This automatic " survival" method was functioning a bit topsy-turvy for at least a short period.
Long story short, fate is unpredictable. It can change its course in a split second.
Do things that you want while you can.
Decreasing the list of regrets should be the priority I say.
